SA officials get nod for CAF CL semi-final encounter

Cape Town - Top South African referee Victor Gomes has been appointed to officiate the CAF Champions League semi-final second leg between TP Mazembe of DR Congo and E.S. Tunis from Tunisia.

Joining Gomes will be assistant referee Zakhele Siwela and fourth official Eugine Mdluli.

Seasoned football administrator Kabelo Bosilong will be the General Coordinator of this potentially explosive encounter while David Van Vuuren will oversee security.

The match will take place on Sunday, 5 May at Stade TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi, DR Congo’s second largest city with the first leg staged a week before on Friday, April 26.

Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns will take on Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club in the other semi-final on Friday, April 26 and Sunday, May 5.
