Ndlovu: We must beat the best to be the best

Cape Town - Maritzburg United midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu says his side is aware of the mammoth task that awaits them in trying to reach the final of the Nedbank Cup.

Ndlovu said the Team of Choice must produce the performance of their lives to eliminate Mamelodi Sundowns from the cup competition and make their dream of playing in the final become a reality.

The 21-year old insists that in order for Maritzburg to be the best in the country, they must beat the best and finish their impressive season with a trophy.

He said their camp is brimming with confidence and is looking forward to the Sunday’s Nedbank Cup semi-final clash with the Brazilians.

Ndlovu told SuperSport: "I feel so honoured that we have had such a good season. The coach has been pushing us and has also been pushing me as an individual.

"I think I have to also thank my teammates for keeping me going and everybody at the team for pushing us.

"We all know that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, so the only thing we have to do is to change the will.

We have to keep going because in order to be the best you have to beat the best.  The mood is okay in the team and everything is ready."

Kick-off is at 15:00.
