MTN8 fixtures, venues and kick-off times confirmed

Cape Town - The countdown to the 2018/19 MTN8 tournament, or otherwise fondly referred to as 'Wafa-Wafa', is now underway with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) releasing the venues, dates and kick-off times.

The MTN8 will kick-off on Saturday, August 11. Three fixtures are scheduled for that day - 15:00, 18:00 and 20:30.

Ticket prices vary from R40 to R60 in the quarter-final stages. Tickets will be available at TicketPro include Edgars, CNA, Jet stores and Postnet.

The opening fixture of the MTN8 will see last season’s league champions, Mamelodi Sundowns play Lamontville Golden Arrows at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. Kick-off is 15:00.

Three hours later (18:00), Free State Stars will renew their cup rivalry with Kaizer Chiefs when they travel to the FNB Stadium to face the Phefeni Glamour Boys.

In the evening (20:30), defending champions, SuperSport United will be in action against former Cup holders Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium.

The last fixture of the MTN8 quarter-finals will be played on Sunday, August 12 at the Harry Gwala Stadium where Maritzburg United will host Cape Town City.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 11

Mamelodi Sundowns v Lamontville Golden Arrows – Lucas Moripe Stadium - 15:00

Kaizer Chiefs v Free State Stars – FNB Stadium - 18:00

Orlando Pirates v SuperSport United – Orlando Stadium - 20:30

SUNDAY, AUGUST 12

Maritzburg United v Cape Town City – Harry Gwala Stadium - 15:00
