Cape Town - After being drawn against Vaal University of Technology (VUT) in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 draw on Monday night, Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane won't underestimate the 'giant slayers'.
VUT knocked Absa Premiership team Golden Arrows out during the previous round, and Mosimane has warned players they will "get the shock of their lives" if they don't take the lower division side seriously.
"We have been waiting for an opponent in the lower divisions and we finally got it," Mosimane told the official Sundowns website.
"You need to be careful what you ask for because you will get the shock of your life."
VUT are a fourth-tier team playing but will be full of confidence of reaching the quarter-finals even after they were drawn against South Africa's reigning champions.
"The fact they eliminated Golden Arrows, a Premier League team, means they are a good team," Mosimane added.
"We think we have got a relief, but we need to be careful."
The Premier Soccer League announced following the draw that the fixtures will be played on February 22-25.
