Cape Town - Pitso Mosimane has revealed that he is considering handing Mosa Lebusa his Mamelodi Sundowns debut against Cape Town City in Saturday's MTN8 semi-final.

The Masandawana coach explained that up until this point, he hasn't had much time to assess Lebusa in training, and that the new signing from Ajax Cape Town had to get used to life at Sundowns.

"Lebusa will be part of the team going to Cape Town. He has not had a run," Mosimane said.

"He is compromised because he came when our programme already started. You must remember at Sundowns if you miss two or three weeks, because we don't have pre-season, I have to try find a place where I can put you with a little bit of training because we don't train [much]. So when am I going to see him play?

"We played a small friendly during midweek and he played, but the resistance was not good for me to measure. But I have to go with the concept of who he is and what he is capable of. I have to believe and trust, because if I don't then why did I go get him? Probably he might play in Cape Town, but I can guarantee he will be on the bench.

"I think he can do well against [Matthew] Rusike, against [Ayanda] Patosi."

Lebusa is an option on the left side of defence after Ricardo Nascimento picked up a red card on Wednesday against Highlands Park.

Saturday's semi-final first leg at Cape Town Stadium will kick off at 15:00, with the return leg scheduled for the Lucas Moripe Stadium next Sunday.
