Maskandi, Gqom heavyweights line-up for MTN8 final concert

Cape Town - The 90 minutes action of what has been largely billed as 'Act II' battle between SuperSport United and Cape Town City will be preceded by the mother of all clashes when we roll the yellow carpet for the battle: 'Gqom vs Maskandi' genre showdown.

The concert will attract some of the most celebrated names in the two genres including DJ Tira, Shwi Nomtekhala, Distruction Boyz, Khuzani and many others.

All this will be happening at Moses Mabhida on Saturday, September 29.

Kick-off for the match is scheduled for 19:00 but the MTN8 final experience will commence from as early as 14:00 when the fan zone experience opens.

At the fan zone, football fans will get an opportunity to win a variety of prizes as well as interact with top legends such as Lucky Lekgwathi, Jabu Mahlangu, Stanton Fredericks, Thabo September, and many more.

The pre-match concert will kick-off at 16:00 and on stage will be heavyweights such as DJ Tira, Shwi Nomtekhala, Tipcee, Khuzani, Distruction Boyz, Igcokama Elisha, Dladla Mshunqisi, DSD and Professor.

There will also be a big surprise act at half-time.

Tickets for the event are still available at TicketPro and Spar outlets countrywide. They are selling at R40 for adults and R15 for children under the age of 12.
