Marawa's YouTube channel hits 19 000 subscriber mark

Cape Town - Recently fired SuperSport presenter Robert Marawa's newly-formed YouTube channel Marawa.tv has passed the 19 000 subscriber mark in less than a week.

The popular broadcaster was fired from his Thursday Night Live with Marawa show by the pay-channel in May, with fans left outraged by his sacking.

Many even threatened to cancel their DStv subscriptions while encouraging Marawa to start his own channel - which the 46-year-old duly obliged.

After taking to social media last Thursday to announce he was launching his own channel, Marawa.tv has impressively gained over 19 000 subscribers - and is still rising.

The first video was posted on Thursday morning with regular interviews added featuring soccer legends such as El Hadji Diouf and various members of the Bafana Bafana squad.
