Lepasa aiming to impress Bucs management

Cape Town - TS Galaxy's on-loan striker, Zakhele Lepasa, says he hopes to catch the eye of Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic with a strong performance against Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan from Pirates, and will have the perfect opportunity to showcase his skills against Bucs' Soweto rivals in Saturday's clash at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Lepasa told the Daily Sun: "All I need to do is to play well whenever I get the chance, like in the final this weekend, hopefully, it will be enough to convince them (Pirates) that I must be back.

"But it won't be easy because they have a lot of good players who are full of energy. They run and work hard. But we'll see when pre-season comes.

"Hopefully, I will be ready and gel with the team because I think I have the work ethic but whether or not that's what the coaches want, we'll have to wait and see."

Lepasa, meanwhile, also commented on the high standards set by TS Galaxy coach Dan Malesela this season.

"The coach is too much of a perfectionist," Lepasa was quoted as saying by Times Live.

"He pushes us and if you don't have a strong heart, you won't play. He hammers everyone.

"Even after I scored a brace (against Arrows), you would think he'd be happy and everything would be fine.

"No, he was still hammering me, saying I could have done more.

"He's never entirely happy, which is sometimes good for us.

"At first you will feel like he doesn't like you, but that's not the case. He always wants us to do the best."
