Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns winger Lyle Lakay has backed Cape Town City to win the battle between his former clubs when they face SuperSport United in the MTN8 final.

Lakay was handed his Premiership debut at Matsatsantsa during a three-year spell with the Tshwane giants, while he also played for the Citizens before moving to the Brazilians.
The 27-year-old admitted he still has a soft spot for Benni McCarthy's side having been part of the squad that lost to SuperSport in last year's final.
"Obviously Cape Town City," Lakay was quoted as saying by KickOff website.
"Because the majority of the guys are still there, and we were like a family. I grew up with (Ebrahim) Sedat.
"And obviously last year losing in the final contributes to that. So hopefully they can win."
Kick-off is at 19:00.
