Cape Town - Bidvest Wits head coach Gavin Hunt says despite a heavy 3-0 home defeat to SuperSport United, his side had the best chances of their MTN8 quarter-final clash at the Bidvest Stadium on Sunday.
Thamsanqa Gabuza grabbed a brace after strike partner Bradley Grobler opened the scoring to ease the visitors into the semi-finals of the competition.
"Obviously 3-0 doesn't sound very good, but to be fair we had the two best chances in the game." Hunt said.
"The first goal is a bit unfortunate it takes a big deflection and falls at his feet, then from that we end up chasing the game.
"You've got to give them credit but two unbelievable chances for us, you've got to score those tap-ins you know but it goes like that.
"We've got to take it, regroup and go again."
Matsatsanta will now face Mamelodi Sundowns in a Tshwane derby in the first semi-final of the cup competition with Polokwane City hosting Highlands Park for a chance to claim the R8 million prize.
