Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will hand over the trophy to the National First Division (NFD) 2017/18 winners, Highlands Park at Athlone Stadium this coming Sunday (May 6).

This is in line with PSL tradition of handing over trophies to champions on the last day of the season.

Highlands Park will travel to Cape Town to play their last fixture against Stellenbosch FC at 15:00 on Sunday.

Following the match, Highlands Park will be awarded their trophy and medals.

Highlands Park won the 2017/18 NFD season in convincing fashion. They are currently on 66 points - 17 points clear at the top of the table- having remarkably won 20 games from their 29 fixtures played so far - having lost only three matches.

The Johannesburg-based side have also scored the most goals in the division with a total of 62 goals.
