Eymael: Pirates will prepare us for Nedbank final

Cape Town - Free State Stars coach Luc Eymael believes their match against Orlando Pirates this weekend will be adequate preparation for the Nedbank Cup final.

Stars will face Maritzburg United in the Nedbank Cup final at Cape Town Stadium on May 19.

Ea Lla Koto are currently fifth on the Absa Premiership standings and Eymael is adamant their final league game against the Soweto giants will test his side’s abilities and help them end their long title-drought.

“You know we want to prepare for the final and the best way to do that is to have a good game against Orlando Pirates,” Eymael told Vodacom Soccer.

“So it’s simple, we must have a good game against Pirates to boost our confidence going into the final.

“I will rest one or two players because they have three yellow cards and we need to have them for the final.

“It’s an opportunity to give others a chance, but I will take a good group for the final match of the season to prepare us for the final, which is very important.”

Stars' clash against Pirates is schedule for 15:00 on Saturday afternoon.
