Cape Town - Fadlu Davids is well aware that Maritzburg United cannot afford to make silly mistakes when they take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup.
The two teams will go head-to-head in a semi-final clash scheduled for Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday.
High flying Maritzburg last weekend defeated Baroka FC 2-0 in the Absa Premiership, but Davids admitted that it will be a different ball game when they come up against a rampant Sundowns.
The Team of Choice have been the surprise package of the 2017/18 season, being in third position in the league standings, but have a mammoth task in terms of attempting to defeat the in-form Tshwane outfit.
The Brazilians are challenging for a treble of the Nedbank Cup, CAF
Champions League and moved a step closer clinching the title on
Tuesday with a victory over Golden Arrows.
Davids told the club's official website: "Our focus has to shift immediately to the cup. If we make mistakes like we did against Baroka, Sundowns will punish us.
"We're playing the best team in the history of Sundowns, the best team in the history of South Africa. We need each and every player to be at their best, 100%.
"I'm happy with the clean sheet against Baroka, though I really felt we could have scored five or six with the chances we created. We take the result and now concentrate on meeting Sundowns in the semi-final."
Kick-off is at 15:00.
