Cape Town - Cape Town City start as favourites against Supersport United in a must-win encounter in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32 on Saturday.
The teams last met on January 5 in the Absa Premiership, where they looked to be playing towards a goalless draw before City winger Gift Links found the back of the net in the dying embers of the match.
That victory marked their third win over United for the season, having already beaten them in the league and in September's MTN8 final.
As such, City - undefeated since December 1 - will be in a buoyant mood at home on Saturday night. The men from Cape Town are coming off a 5-0 drubbing of Free State stars last week, with Links scoring a brace.
Nonetheless, coach Benni McCarthy is focusing on the task at hand.
"Our focus is only on Supersport United, we can't get ahead of ourselves," said McCarthy.
"One game at a time. As a team we stay as humble as possible at all times. Every game is a game we’re going to go out there to win, we take every competition seriously. What you see is what you get. We are going out there to win it."
For United, Matsatsantsa stopped a month long slide when they defeated Bloemfontein Celtic at home on Sunday. Bradley Gobler grabbed his fourth goal of the season and United will need the striker to be firing on all cylinders if they want to cause an upset at Cape Town Stadium.
Also key for the visitors is Evans Rusike, as the forward has proved to be a playmaker upfront for United this season, scoring five goals and contributing with four assists.
Kick-off is at 20:15.
