Comeback against Pirates has CT City dreaming of MTN8 title

Cape Town - Edmilson Dove says the recent comeback against Orlando Pirates has got Cape Town City dreaming big ahead of their MTN8 final with SuperSport United.

The Mozambican defender stated that Ayanda Patosi's inspired comeback in the recent game against the Sea Robbers has worked wonders for their camp leading to the big game in Durban on Saturday.

He admitted that the Citizens will be looking to get their revenge having lost to Matsatsantsa in the final of the same competition in 2017.

"It was not easy coming back from 2-0 against Pirates, but that result has motivated us," Dove told KickOff website.

"We have been working extremely hard for this final. The coaches gave us a few days off after the Pirates game to refresh, and we're all focused and willing to work hard for the win.

"Last year we couldn't – we did everything we could to win the game, but with penalty shootouts, anything can happen. This season we are all willing to work hard to see if we can win the final.

"We are playing for a trophy, so we just have to play our own game as we've been doing, and we'll see what happens.”

Kick-off is at 19:00.
