Collins Mbesuma still going strong in the NFD

Cape Town - University of Pretoria have signed former Kaizer Chiefs hitman Collins Mbesuma as the club gears up for a promotion attempt in 2019/20.

Mbesuma is still going strong as a professional footballer despite approaching his 36th birthday in February next year.

The well-travelled goal-scorer started his career in 2003 at Roan United before making his name at Kaizer Chiefs with an incredible 35 goals in 2005.

Last season the forward was at Maccabi FC where his 10 goals in South Africa's second tier helped the team escape the dreaded drop.

Nonetheless, 'Ntotofontofo' has signed on the dotted line for Tuks as the club brought in a number of new signings.

Other arrivals include former SuperSport United trio Luvolwethu Mpeta, Athenkhosi Dlala and Katlego Mohamme.

The side from Pretoria also produced a full list of their signings ahead of the new season: Nqubeko Dlamini, Sphamandla Mntambo, Clive Gumede, Sphamandla Nzuza, Athenkhosi Dlala, Collins Mbesuma, John Tshabalala, Sphamandla Mlilo, Luvolwethu Mpeta, Mosesenyane Maswanganye, Katlego Mohamme
