Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates coach Vladimir Vermezovic believes that he can lead the Buccaneers to Nedbank Cup glory.
According to the Football411.com website, the Soweto giants have reached the final of this season's MTN8
and Telkom Knockout as well as last year's CAF Champions League, but
lost on all three occasions.
Speaking after his team beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 on Saturday to book their spot in the last four of the Nedbank Cup, Vermezovic asserted that he has that extra little something that will help Pirates get over the line.
"I said to the players, they know how to reach a final, I know how to win a final, and then we have to help each other. They made the first step, another step and then it's my turn," he explained.
A lack of silverware for a club as big as Pirates always leads to significant pressure, but Vermezovic feels that his players are ready to embrace the challenge.
"In any big club, a season without a trophy is a bad season. We know that and we will prepare to win it," the Serb asserted.
