Tinkler: It's like a final

Johannesburg - Orlando Pirates will play against AC Leopards in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage game on Saturday in which if they win or draw, they will reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

Pirates coach Eric Tinkler told Sport24 that this game is like a final to them and they will play to win even though a draw will be enough to take them through to the last four.

Despite having beating Leopards away already Tinkler said that it won’t be an easy game as Leopards know that if they don’t get a win, their slim chances of reaching the semis will be over.

If Leopards are unable to get a result, Pirates and Zamalek will qualify from Group B for the semi-finals, and the final group match between Pirates and Zamalek in Egypt, will decide which team tops the group.
"This is a cup final for both teams,” Tinkler said to Sport24.

“Leopards also still have the chance of reaching the semis and they will come here to win.

“But we won away against them away and we have to win here at home as well.

“It won't be easy because they are a good team, and we have to go into the game well prepared for a win.”
