Shakes names Amajita squad

Johannesburg - South Africa under-20 (Amajita) coach Shakes Mashaba has named a preliminary squad of 22 players on Thursday for a tour of West Africa.

Amajita will next week play four friendly matches which would be used as preparation for the 2015 African Youth Championships qualifier against Cameroon.

The first leg will be played away on August 16 in Yaounde, with the second back home in South Africa.

The team will fly out on Sunday before their tour kicks off against Burkina Faso on Wednesday.

Amajita will then play against Mali on 26 July, Senegal on 30 July and Ivory Coast on 3 August.

South Africa under-20 squad: Jethren Barr, Dumisani Msibi, Jody February, Madisha Motjeka, Bongani Mathabela, Ayabulela Maqwaka, Yagan Sasman, Sibusiso Ntombela, Aubrey Modiba, Denwin Farmer, Thabiso Gwabavu, Pule Maraisane, Tlotlo Leepile, Ndlondlo Ndabayithethwa, Sikhumbuzo Mazibuko, Tshepo Liphoko, Bandile Shandu, Ryan Christian, Siphelele Luthuli, Dikgang Ngcobo, Thembinkosi Mbamba, Fagrie Lakay Santos.
