Johannesburg - Lennox Bacela has netted a hat-trick as Orlando Pirates romped to a 4-0 win over Golden Arrows and thus booked their place in the semi-finals of the Telkom Knockout on Wednessday night.

Kermit Erasmus was the other player to score for Bucs in this quarterfinal clash at the Orlando Stadium.
Bucs went ahead in the 11th minute through their talisman Bacela.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic striker was on the receiving end of a Khethowakhe Masuku cross on the right wing and he headed home with aplomb to make it 1-0.
Roger De Sa’s men were buoyed by their exploits in the CAF Champions League where they qualified for the final this past weekend and showed that they were in no mood to end their good run.

A beautifully worked free kick in the 34th minute saw the men from Orlando double their lead.
Masuku swung in a perfect ball into the box from the right wing, Bacela cut the ball back in with a header which was in the path of Erasmus, who unleashed a powerful shot to make it 2-0
Pirates were dominant in the first half and looked to end the half with a bang which they did three minutes before half time.

The men in black attacked Arrows, led by their playmaker Oupa Manyisa, who employed a dummy as he pretended to unleash a shot but bamboozled the Arrows defence as he laid the ball onto the path of Bacela, who completed his brace with a fist time strike into the near post.
Bacela upped his performance in the match to a hat-trick just under the hour mark.
Bacela benefited from a good pass from Erasmus which opened the Arrows defence and the man from the Western Cape coolly slotted past the keeper from close range.
The match finished 4-0 as Pirates joined SuperSport United, Platinum Stars and Kaizer Chiefs in the semfinals of this League Cup competition.
