New Cosafa hosts sought

Johannesburg - The Cosafa Cup which was set to be hosted in Botswana from 13-28 September has been cancelled, Council of Southern African Football Associations has announced on Wednesday.

Cosafa president Suketu Patel said the organisation was in the process of finding a new host nation.

"Due to financial and logistical constraints, the Cosafa Cup has had to be cancelled," Patel said in a statement.

"Currently we await response to our request which has been promised by the end of this week, after which we will make a full press briefing on this matter."
