Mayambela impresses Swedes

Cape Town - Following his trial period in Sweden last month, former Orlando Pirates and Bloemfontein Celtic winger Mark Mayambela appears likely to sign a contract with local side Djurgardens IF.

The “Professor” left the country early last month for the Allsvenskan league after spending the past few months club-less since his departure from Mpumalanga Black Aces back in October 2013.

Mayambela featured in a friendly against Finnish side Mariehamn on Sunday and was involved in four of the seven goals his side scored.

The Cape Town-born player’s agent, Tim Sukazi, told the Kick-Off website that his client has done very well since joining Djurgardens on trial and he is confident the club will offer him a contract soon.
