Jele: Bucs are ready for Downs

Orlando Pirates defender, Happy Jele, says the team is ready for the significant clash against Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend.

Kick-off is at 20:15.

According to the soccerladuma.com website, the Bucs fullback says they were all geared up for this Saturday’s Nedbank Cup quarter-final fixture against the Brazilians.

“We are looking forward to the game. The team is in good spirits because we know that this is a chance for silverware", said Jele.

It has been a baron season for the Buccaneers by their club standards, and the Nedbank Cup will provide some much needed relief for the Soweto giants.

“We had a difficult season with 3 finals & not winning even one. We looking forward to Saturday because we know it's a chance for a cup" affirmed Jele.

Pirates coach, Vladimir Vermezovic, touched on the importance of winning the cup for the Buccaneers.

"I'll help the team to win the final game, but they have to help me reach it. They know how to get there, I know how to play it”, the Bucs coach stated.

"We will play till the end, 90 minutes, 120 minutes whatever!  At the end, the best team will have won", reiterated Vermezovic.
