Jabu ready to roll for SSU

Cape Town - Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Jabu Mahlangu could make his return for SuperSport United when they face Moroka Swallows in a Nedbank Cup clash on Wednesday night.

According to the Kick-Off website, the 33-year-old has been included in Matsatsantsa's squad for their Last 16 clash at Dobsonville Stadium.

Mahlangu announced his return to professional football last week and signed a three-month contract with United.

He represented SuperSport nine times in 2005/06 but is more renowned for playing 99 games for Kaizer Chiefs between 1999 and 2004, as well as 20 games for Bafana Bafana between 2000 and 2004.

Coach Cavin Johnson said Mahlangu is mentally and physically ready to play against the Dube Birds.

Kick-off is at 19:30.
