DA congratulates Ajax CT on MTN8 win

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town’s victory at the MTN8 Cup final has earned them the support of the Democratic Alliance.

DA Western Cape spokesperson on Cultural Affairs and Sport Ricardo Mackenzie said they were “happy that Ajax is putting Western Cape soccer back on the map”.

Ajax Cape Town emerged victorious against Kaizer Chiefs in Port Elizabeth on Saturday, with a final score of 1-0.

“Their success today made them heroes for youngsters in the various communities of Cape Town and Western Cape.

“The hard work and dedication by Ajax Cape Town resulted in a victory that sends an encouraging message to the youth. We also note that most of team Ajax came through their academies. This is proof of the positive impact that investing in the youth can have,” Mackenzie said.
