Johannesburg - Following his side's smash-and-grab 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in their Telkom Knockout semi-final, Platinum Stars coach Allan Freese says his team never doubted they would reach the final.

"I'm happy for the team and the club. Most of all, I'm happy for the players, the support staff and everybody involved in the team," Freese said.

"We have to defend better, we have to be better in possession of the ball and we have to make sure that we're more competitive."
