Ribery fined after bust-up

Berlin - Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery has reportedly been fined 50 000 euros ($66 000) for a dressing room bust-up with Arjen Robben at half-time in the Champions League win over Real Madrid, according to Bild.

The German daily reports the France international lashed out at Robben after an argument over a first-half free-kick in the 2-1 semi-final first-leg win over Real on Tuesday at Munich's Allianz Arena.

Ribery is reported to have struck Robben during the dressing-room altercation and the Dutch winger's face was clearly marked when he later gave a post-match interview.

Bild report Ribery has been fined and has apologised to the Bayern team, who travel to Madrid for the second leg on Wednesday.

Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes refused to comment during Friday's press conference before Bayern's Bundesliga game at Werder Bremen on Saturday, but chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hinted an incident did take place.

"We are not going to comment on things that happen in the changing room, but things are being dealt with internally," he told SID, an AFP subsidiary.
