Madrid - Real Madrid unveiled Jose Mourinho as their new coach at a news conference on Monday.

The Portuguese has signed a four-year contract with the Spanish giants following his move from European champions Inter Milan.

"It's an honour to have one of the most prestigious coaches in the world," Real sporting director Jorge Valdano said.

"We are delighted to have him here with us. The best thing for our club right now is to have Mourinho with us."

The 47-year-old Mourinho, former coach of Porto and Chelsea, replaced Manuel Pellegrini who was sacked last week.

They'll sack him for not playing with enough flair and for not winning in style. That is what they did to Del Bosque, Capello and Shcuster. Capello and Shcuster won the league for Real in the season they were appointed, but still got the ax, probably for not winning the Champion's League. But if anyone can give them what they want, it's this guy. Whether he'll actually see that 4 yr contract out remains to be seen. They'll either sack him, or he'll find a new project and move on.

If there is anyone who can steer success to this club , its this man. But i do not see him seeing out 4 yrs . For Manu Fans, this is good news that he is gone here first, I see him taking over the reigns from Sir Alex....
