Podolski eyes move home

Cape Town - According to the Mirror website, Lukas Podolski says he would be up for a move back to his old club Cologne following their return to the Bundesliga.

The Arsenal striker, 28, joined his former team-mates for their promotion party as they beat Bochum 3-1 to secure their return to the German top flight.

Podolski, who joined Cologne as a 10-year-old, has two years left on his Gunners’ contract.

He said: "The Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in the world and therefore in principle always interesting".

“In the Bundesliga, my thoughts naturally turn first to Cologne. That is much more than a club for me, this is my home".

Arsenal play Newcastle on Monday night as they fight to clinch fourth spot on the table.
