Zungu on the road to recovery

Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu is on his way to full recovery, ahead of his move to Portugese side Vitoria de Guimaraes next season.

The 24-year-old has missed the last five months of the campaign, after suffering a shin injury in Downs' league match against Maritzburg United back in January.

Zungu's agent, Steve Kapeluschnik, has revealed that all is going according to plan for the industrious playmaker, as he is now waiting for the doctor's clearance before he starts full training.

"He has removed the moon boot and has already started going to gym," Kapeluschnik told KickOff.

"We are waiting for the doctor to give him the green light to start training."

The former University of Pretoria player penned a two-year deal with Guimaraes earlier in January, and is set to resume his duties with the club in July.
