Zuma pleased with Chiefs' pre-season preparations

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs forward Dumisani Zuma believes the club's pre-season preparations for 2018/19 are on track and says he is looking forward to Saturday's clash with Cape Town City.

The Glamour Boys are set to face City in the Mpumalanga Cultural Experience Cup at Mbombela Stadium, and could complete a double-haul of trophies if they collect the crown.

During the pre-season so far, Chiefs have won the Maize Cup with a penalty shoot-out victory over Free State Stars, although they lost out on lifting the Shell Ultra Helix trophy after a 2-1 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.

However, Amakhosi have a chance to build up even more confidence when they meet the Citizens in Mpumalanga.

As such, Zuma, who made 17 appearances in the previous campaign and contributed three goals, is optimistic of more success.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "We are happy to play in the match, it is important because we are playing against a good team in City.

"We have been doing well with the preparations and we are looking forward to Saturday."

The once-off competition begins from 12:00 when National First Division outfits Mbombela United and Spear of the Nation meet. Chiefs and City will then play the later kick-off at 15:00.
