Cape Town - New Chippa United striker David Zulu is feeling great about being back on the field after leaving Kaizer Chiefs on a six-month loan deal.
Zulu, who is seeking more game time, failed to recapture the form that saw him also called up to Bafana Bafana not so long ago - a selection which in many ways swayed Amakhosi to sign him.
The former Black Leopards ace returned to the Chilli Boys earlier this month after Chiefs signed William Twala and also loaned out Sbongiseni Ngcobo to Chippa.
He started his first game for the Eastern Cape side when they beat Golden Arrows two weeks ago and then scored the first goal as they beat Ajax Cape Town this past weekend.
"It felt great to be back on the field and people will remember me again and see that I'm still around," he said. "This may help me to be back also in the national team too.
"Playing here regularly will boost my confidence and it just showed me that I was taking care of myself when I was injured for three months.
"I started to train again in December and I didn't feel any pressure on the injury in these first few games I have played."
The 29-year-old was the National First Division top scorer with 16 goals in 2013/14.
