Following their loss against Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League on Wednesday, Zamalek coach Mohamed Helmi has parted ways with the club.

The Egyptian giants lost 1-0 against Pitso Mosimane’s side at the Lucas Moripe Stadium last night. Reports in Egyptian media now indicate that Helmi resigned from his coaching duties at Zamalek.
Earlier this year, following their 3-1 win over Ghanaian side Medeama SC in Tshwane, Swedish coach Tom Strand resigned from his duties as the coach of the Ghanaian outfit.

The Brazilians and Medeama played in the CAF Confederation Cup, before the South African champions were reinstated to the Champions League, after AS Vita Club were disqualified from the prestigious competition.
