Yeye to begin new chapter at SuperSport United

Cape Town - Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Reneilwe 'Yeye' Letsholonyane has thanked the club's management and supporters for the wonderful eight years he has spent at Naturena, ahead of his exit.

After months of speculation regarding his future at the club, Amakhosi management confirmed on Thursday that Letsholonyane will not renew his contract with Chiefs and is set to reunite with former coach Stuart Baxter at Supersport United on a two-year deal.

"I have spent the majority of my career with South Africa's biggest club and it has been a wonderful journey," said Letsholonyane.

"I would like to thank the chairman, fans and the management for the unbelievable support they have given me over the years. I will forever be indebted to them.

"All journeys, however, have an end and I have decided that it's time to travel on a new path."

Yeye's agent, Steve Kapeluschnik, also revealed that the Glamour Boys made a decent offer to extend his stay in Soweto, adding that they thought hard about the move.

"Obviously there has been huge interest in Yeye whose contract with Kaizer Chiefs ends at the end of the season.

"Chiefs presented a decent offer and Yeye thought long and hard before deciding to join SuperSport United."
