Cape Town - Knox Mutizwa could be set to leave Highlanders, after being linked with a possible move to the South African Premiership.
Mutizwa was last season's Golden Boot winner in Zimbabwe, netting 14 goals in 17 matches.
Having seen a potential switch to Sweden fall through in August, it is believed the striker is looking for a transfer to Mzansi, with the Bulawayo24 website claiming he is on trial at Bidvest Wits, who currently lead the league standings.
"Knox is definitely on his way out of Bosso. He is heading to South Africa and chances are high he will secure a deal," the source read.
Mutizwa has previously voiced his displeasure at his treatment by Highlanders, and was quoted earlier this year as stating: "I've not extended my contract with Highlanders because of what they are offering me. I have told them what I want, but they seem not keen to honour that and I have since decided not to extend my contract.
"I have been loyal to the club, but they have failed to even pay me my signing on fees since I got into the first team. I will, however, continue playing for them if I fail to get a team outside the country. I will not play for any local team besides Highlanders."
