Wits sign 2 players, keep identities a secret

Ca[e Town - Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt has bolstered his squad with two players ahead of the January transfer window, but has declined to reveal the identities of the duo.

Hunt's charges occupy second spot heading into the mid-season break, but are bracing themselves for a busy period in the second half of the campaign due to their involvement in the CAF Champions League.

As such, Hunt has moved to add to fresh faces to his roster, and the signings will officially be confirmed in the New Year.

However, he also revealed that one or two players would be heading out the exit door at Wits.

"We signed two players all ready and they will come in January," Hunt told KickOff.

"We will let one or two go obviously from the squad, we have to.

"We’ve got the Champions League so we got to be careful there as well, so the programme is full.

"It is very difficult in the market. Not everyone's going to sell or has money to buy, so we are looking at the market on what we can get," he concluded.

Wits kick-start their Champions League campaign with a home encounter against AS Saint Louisienne on the weekend of February 10-12, with the second leg set to take place a week later.
