Cape Town - Bidvest Wits thrashed AmaZulu FC 3-0 in their Absa Premiership match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban on Saturday.
The Clever Boys contained Usuthu in the opening stages of the game before they broke the deadlock in the 15th minute following a defensive error.
Zimbabwean attacker Terrence Dzvukamanja pounced and he beat AmaZulu goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs with a header to make it 1-0 to Wits.
The visitors looked dangerous every time they pushed forward and they managed to double their lead in the 38th minute.
This time it was Namibian winger Deon Hotto, who hit the back of the net as he fired past Josephs to make it 2-0 to Wits heading to the half-time break.
The Clever Boys continued to attack after the restart and they extended their lead from Keegan Ritchie's well-taken free-kick.
The former Kaizer Chiefs left-back's set-piece was headed home by Thulani Hlatshwayo to make it 3-0 to Wits nine minutes after the restart.
And that's the way the scoreline stayed, giving Wits coach Gavin Hunt reason to smile after 90 minutes.
