Cape Town - Bidvest Wits have rubbished reports that they have submitted a bid to secure the services of highly-rated Black Leopards forward Siphelele Ntshangase.
Earlier in the week, reports emerged that the Clever Boys put in a R2.5 million bid for the striker with the aim of further bolstering their attacking options ahead of the new season, however the club's CEO Jose Ferreria has denied the claims.
"That is nonsense. We have not made a bid of R2.5 million, or any other amount for that matter, for the services of Ntshangase," he said.
"Is there any interest? There's always interest, like with many other good players, but that doesn't mean we're prepared to bid. Someone is obviously trying to drive the player's price up by stating fallacious figures," Ferreira concluded.
Ntshangase who is currently nursing an ankle injury has reportedly piqued the interest of a number of clubs, with Kaizer Chiefs said to be front-runners to secure his signature.
