Watenga would welcome Sundowns switch

Ugandan goalkeeper Ismail Watenga says "it would be a dream come true" to join Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper currently plays for Kenyan side Sofapaka FC.

A fan of Downs stopper Denis Onyango, Watenga, who has been linked with a move to Downs, says he has big ambitions.

Speaking to Football256, he said: "Of course, we all work hard to be like Denis [Onyango] or even better so if the chance (at Mamelodi Sundowns) comes to follow in his footsteps it would be a dream come true."

Watenga has 11 national team caps and is eager for more. He added: "I just want to work hard and get back to the national team."
