WATCH: Slimkat's tearful post-match interview

Cape Town - After Cape Town City knocked Bidvest Wits out of the MTN8 Cup, veteran goalkeeper Moeneeb 'Slimkat' Josephs gave an emotional post-match interview.

The Citizens took a healthy 1-0 first-leg victory to Bidvest Stadium courtesy of an Ayanda Patosi goal and were looking to secure a final spot against SuperSport United

In a pulsating second-leg encounter, Wits took the lead in an unfortunate manner as City captain Robyn Johannes scored an own-goal.

However, City responded later in the first-half when Wits' Gamal Amr also scored an own-goal from a Patosi set-piece.

The Students had a chance to take the lead in the latter stages of the match when Granwald Scott missed a sitter before Lehlohonolo Majoro showed his ability as a poacher to turn quickly and fire in what would prove to the be winner.

"I'm not disappointed that we got knocked out, that's not it Mr Marawa," said Josephs in his post-match interview with SuperSport TV.

"I'm just disappointed the way we go about it, that lack of passion - that's what this game is about.

"This game has been great for many of us - lot of us have standard 8, standard 9 certificates - we driving nice cars... this game has been beautiful for us."
