WATCH: Benni swears on live TV while fuming at PSL refs

Cape Town - Cape Town City head coach Benni McCarthy swore on live TV in a heated post-match interview while fuming at the standard of refereeing in the PSL after a 1-0 loss away to AmaZulu on Saturday.

McCarthy dropped an F-bomb during the interview while sharing his frustration at the match officials for failing to protect his players after winger Craig Martin was on the end of a nasty challenge.

Striker Kermit Erasmus missed a penalty in the first half as defender Tapelo Nyongo's second half free-kick secured a vital 1-0 victory for the hosts to move further away from the drop-zone.

The Citizens were left frustrated after failing to move closer to the summit of the league table after the top three sides all dropped points earlier in the day.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
