Vincent Pule set to join Kaizer Chiefs

Cape Town - According to a report, Kaizer Chiefs are favourites to land Bidvest Wits midfielder Vincent Pule with Orlando Pirates also interested.

Pule joined the Clever Boys from National First Division club African Warriors in 2014 and has becoming an increasingly influential member of the Wits attack.

Scorer of the winning goal in last season's Telkom Knockout final, the 26-year-old has proven himself a game-breaker and he netted three goals in 22 league matches last term.

It has long been an open secret that Pule is set to depart to a bigger team with Gavin Hunt himself confirming the news. Sport24 understands that there has been an agreement in place with Chiefs for next season.

According to his agent, Tim Sukazi, Pule has played his last game for the Students and could find himself turning out for one of the Soweto giants next season, although neither club has commented on the subject.

"He is definitely leaving Wits," Sukazi told IOL.

"We told them [Wits] in October last year that the boy is leaving when his contract expires at the end of the season," he continued.

"We told Wits before the Telkom Knockout final. Chiefs and Pirates are interested in him.

"I'm away in Limpopo this week. We will sit down with him and he will take the decision," he concluded.
