Cape Town - AmaZulu have confirmed that defenders
Marc van Heerden and Sadate Ouro-Akoriko have recovered from injury and
could face Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.
Usuthu face the reigning Premiership champions in a clash which is set to take place at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.
The side's physiotherapist Karel Du Toit told the club's official website that both players were in full training, though a decision would still have to be taken regarding whether they could face the Brazilians.
The physio said: "Sadate is returning from an ankle sprain. He is just struggling with a little bit of a bone contusion.
"But he is returning to full training. He has mild symptoms, but we will see how he progresses this week regarding availability.
"Marc Van Heerden has recovered well from a grade one calf strain. He is also in full training.
"We will also evaluate him through the week of training and see if he can pass a late fitness test. But he looks good."
In addition, there was some positive news about the progress of former Kaizer Chiefs forward Ovidy Karuru. Du Toit added: "Karuru is still returning from quite a significant ankle injury. He is in full training. We just need to get him 100 percent comfortable at competition level."
