Urban Warriors confirm Abondo signing

Cape Town - Ajax Cape Town have confirmed the signing of Kenyan midfielder Victor Ali Abondo, following a successful trial spell at the the Cape club.

Abondo joins the Urban Warriors from the Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia on a two-year deal and will resume his career under coach Roger De Sa as soon as he acquires his South African work permit.

"It's a good feeling to finally sign for Ajax Cape Town," Abondo told the club's official website. "This is what I've always dreamt of.

"I consider Ajax as one of the best club's in the PSL. Even in Kenya, people know Ajax Cape Town and rate the club highly.

"I will work hard to make my stay here successful. I've worked hard on my capabilities, so it's time for me to take the next step in my career.

"For me, this is a big challenge and I will give it my all."
