Tyson sees Wits surpassing Celtic in Cup clash

Cape Town - Bidvest Wits will turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup when they meet Bloemfontein Celtic in a last-32 clash at Bidvest Stadium on Friday night.

The Clever Boys are trying to dethrone Mamelodi Sundowns, who currently top the Premiership. However, the match against their Free State opponents will not be an easy affair.

Gavin Hunt's side are yet to win against Celtic this season, having lost the first league encounter and playing to a goalless draw in the reverse fixture.

"We controlled the game the last time we played Celtic," Students defender Thulani Hlatshwayo said.

"It was lack of concentration that played a role in that game. I think we can go through to the last 16 when we play Celtic on Friday."

Siwelele have their own worries to get past. The club could be sold after fans showed their displeasure for chairman Max Tshabalala when they threw objects onto the pitch after the match against Orlando Pirates at the weekend.
