Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi sign Rantie

Cape Town - Turkish Super Lig club Genclerbirligi have confirmed the permanent signing of South Africa international striker Tokelo Rantie for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old made three Premier League and three cup appearances for the Cherries last season, and has scored five goals for the club since his move from Malmo in 2013.

Rantie has struggled for form with Bournemouth and was not allocated a squad number for this season's campaign. However, despite leaving the club without having lived up to expectations, the forward expressed his gratitude to everyone at the club.

"Words will never express how thankful I am to each and every single one of you at Bournemouth for all you did for me," he said on his Instagram page.

Genclerbirligi confirmed that the striker had completed his move after he passed an extensive medical.
