Cape Town - Former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper John Tlale feels current coach Milutin Sredojevic deserves to win a trophy at end of this campaign.
The Buccaneers are involved in an intense title race and face 8th-placed Bloemfontein Celtic on Tuesday evening knowing a victory could move them to the top of the table with seven games of the season still remaining.
Tlale told Goal.com website: "These are not easy games. Pirates must be very careful of Celtic. Pirates have not been at the top for some time now and they will have to do everything to get the points.
"Celtic just played Sundowns last weekend and they played well to get a point. I think they can be unpredictable on a good day, but I give it to Pirates."
The former shot-stopper feels Sredojevic has a good understanding of the players at the Soweto giants and is experienced enough in South African football to be a success.
Tlale continued: "I think Micho (Milutin Sredojevic) is experienced and he has settled well in the PSL He is not proving a point to anyone, but I think he deserves to win a trophy this season.
"The players are playing for him and they understand him. I am confident they will put everything they have at their disposal to win the league.
"They just have to remain level-headed, consistent and ensure that they continue collecting the points. You will remember he came in and brought stability and unity in the team.
"They are consistent so far and I am sure they can win the league for the club, bring back the smiles."
