Telkom Knockout final venue confirmed

Cape Town - The Premier Soccer League (PSL) have confirmed that the Peter Mokaba Stadium will host the 2016 Telkom Knockout final between SuperSport United and Cape Town City on Saturday, December 10.

The PSL are intending to make a festival of the occasion by getting some of the country's hottest musical talent to perform at the venue ahead of the match. The artists on show will be named in due course.

Acting Chief Executive of the league, Mato Madlala, expressed hope that the event would be well received by local football fans in Polokwane.

She told the PSL's official website: "This is not just football but an opportunity for the people of Limpopo to be part of the festivities. We know that in December people want to have fun and the music concert is in line with this theme.

"So, we have something for football lovers and also for people who are music enthusiasts. This year's Telkom Knockout competition has dished out quality football on the field and it is only apt that we close it in style."

The TKO final will get underway on the assigned date from 18:00 in the Limpopo province.
