Cape Town - Orlando Pirates head coach Eric Tinkler says the spirit in the Bucs camp is high as they prepare for Saturday's Premiership match against Free State Stars.
The Buccaneers welcome Ea Lla Koto to Orlando Stadium on Saturday night with their tails up in the air, following an impressive 3-1 victory over Jomo Cosmos in their Nedbank Cup Last-16 clash on Sunday.
Tinkler says the team is in a 'good space' and believes his charges can avenge a 1-0 loss to the Bethlehem outfit in the first round of their league encounter back in February.
"We're in a good space as a team because we are creating chances, scoring goals and winning games," Tinkler told his club's website.
"We are into the business end of the Nedbank Cup and with the remaining games in the league if we keep this momentum we can see ourselves with a very high finish.
"Our performances have been improving since the turn of the year and we will look to climb the table with each match we play, starting with Free State Stars.
"Our recent run of form has been excellent, barring the Wits result, which I feel we didn't deserve. But the reality of football is that if you don't take your chances, you will also be punished by one chance and this was the case when we left the Bidvest Stadium with a loss.
"We built a good head of steam with four wins in a row, but importantly, showed great character to bounce back from the loss with such an emphatic away win in the cup.
"We lost the first round having dominated the game, but we failed to score over and above the chances we created.
"We conceded through our own mistakes and couldn't come back from it. We've been working at breaking teams down lately and have come up on top in all but one game against opposition that sits back," he concluded.
