Maritzburg United manager Eric Tinkler says clubs and players will have to be patient for the return of soccer.

Leagues all over the world are in the midst of figuring out how they may resume their seasons, albeit shortened or shut down altogether.

While it is too early in the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in South Africa, to know just what might happen with the Premiership, Tinkler stressed the decision is being made at the highest level.

He told the Sowetan: "Ours is a complicated situation.

"People are looking at what will happen in Europe. But realistically, we have to see what FIFA has to say.

"What is FIFA going to do because there are a lot of complications, we are hoping that everybody can get back to playing as soon as possible.

"Our situations right now don't permit that so we just have to be a little bit patient to see how long this will take."

Assuming the 2019/20 Absa Premiership season can't be concluded prior to the 31 July deadline decreed by FIFA, what would be the fairest way to settle matters - all bias aside?
